The Chinese character 暴 (bào) symbolizes a storm, violence, a sudden burst.

Femininity, not in the traditional sense, can be interpreted closely in terms of divine power, sheer force, ruthless creator energy.

The series is about the subversion of societal notions of femininity, the stereotypes that are faced by women of colour and my own experience as woman from East Asian roots. Can we make space in society for nontypical representations of womanhood?
